Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze commented on the May 26 protest announced by the “Opposition Alliance,” stating that the opposition “does not even have the resources” it possessed on October 4.
The head of the Georgian government stated that any attempts to change power through violent means are doomed to failure.
“Regarding May 26 and the opposition’s initiatives — they don’t even have the resources they had on October 4. Naturally, any attempt by them is doomed to complete failure, and the public will see this. May 26 should be a day of national consolidation,” he noted.
Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia’s Independence Day should unite society rather than serve as a platform for political confrontation.
