Businessman and co-founder of the IT company Spribe, Nika Lomia, has joined Caucasus University’s “Knowledge Ambassadors” program, BMG reports. He will sponsor the university education of 10 school graduates from Abkhazia.
The goal of this educational and career initiative is to create tangible opportunities for students’ professional development.
According to the Rector of Caucasus University, Kakha Shengelia, “the program builds a bridge between education and the real work environment—on one hand, for a young person in need of opportunities, and on the other, for a partner who can create those opportunities.”
According to BMG, the program is based on a partnership model: “one partner, one student.” Its core idea is that with the involvement of a business or private sponsor, not only is tuition funded, but mentorship, career development assistance, and integration into the professional environment are also provided.
“Nika Lomia’s support demonstrates how a single decision can expand opportunities not just for one, but for ten young people on their educational journey,” stated Kakha Shengelia.
Caucasus University plans to further develop the “Knowledge Ambassadors” program and expand its circle of partners.
