Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that, following consultations with the political team of the Georgian Dream party, it was decided to issue an open letter to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, and European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.
The letter states that European integration is the choice of the Georgian people. The EU is a common European space that also belongs to the Georgian people.
According to him, the EU today no longer adheres to the fundamental principles upon which the union was founded.
