Georgian PM: We Are Still Walking the “Forty-Year Path of Moses”

Georgian Prime Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that 35 years have passed since the restoration of state independence, and during this period, the country is once again walking the “forty-year path of Moses.” He noted that today, every patriot can be proud that Georgia is “more independent and sovereign than ever before.”

Kobakhidze emphasized that strengthening independence and sovereignty has allowed the country, despite the gravest challenges, to preserve its faith, ensure peace, and continue on its path of development.

May 26 — Georgia’s Independence Day

“Thirty-five years have passed since Georgia restored its state independence. Since then, we have continued to walk the 40-year path of Moses. Today, in the 35th year since the restoration of independence, every Georgian patriot can be proud that Georgia is independent and sovereign, like never before.

It is precisely the strengthening of independence and sovereignty that has given our country the opportunity, despite the most difficult challenges, to firmly preserve its faith, ensure peace, and embark on a path of continuous development, which will surely lead us to the promised land — to the achievement of all our national goals, to a united and revived Georgia,” Kobakhidze stated.

The head of the Georgian government also congratulated citizens on Independence Day and the 1,700th anniversary of the declaration of Christianity as the state religion.

“Once again, I congratulate you on Georgia’s State Independence Day, and I congratulate you on the 1,700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as the state religion. Glory to an independent, strong, and united Georgia. May God bless our Georgian Church and our Motherland!” Kobakhidze concluded.

Speaker: They want to “shackle Georgia to a new golden chain,” but it won’t work
