On behalf of the United States, Secretary of State Marco Rubio congratulated the people of Georgia on their Independence Day.
“This year offers new opportunities to further deepen the bonds of friendship between the American and Georgian peoples, and to promote greater security and prosperity for both our nations,” the statement notes.
Rubio underscores that the United States steadfastly supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders.
“We stand with the Georgian people in their pursuit of lasting security, freedom, and independence. The United States is committed to a partnership that aligns with Georgia’s aspirations for a secure and prosperous future,” the statement reads.
