Foreign Ministry: Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan united by shared vision of peace

Following a trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili stated that the sides discussed regional and global developments, as well as challenges and prospects for further strengthening cooperation.

A joint declaration on the main areas of cooperation was signed.

Botchorishvili announced that Tbilisi will host the next trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan.

The minister emphasized that for many years, Georgia, Turkey, and Azerbaijan have been “one of the best examples of successful regional cooperation,” as evidenced by a number of infrastructure, energy, and transport projects of great importance to the entire region.

“Given the challenges of the current international situation, the trilateral format provides us with an opportunity to coordinate efforts to realize our common interests.

Today, together with my colleagues, we discussed developments in the region and the world, existing challenges, and prospects for further strengthening cooperation. We signed a joint declaration reflecting the main areas of our interaction.

We paid special attention to regional security and ensuring peace. We particularly emphasized that sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus are a prerequisite for both the development of the region and international security,” Maka Botchorishvili stated.
