The court has approved plea agreements with eight defendants in the case concerning the events of October 4, 2025, near the palace on Atoneli Street. These include Eva Shanshieshvili, Aleksandre Gogoladze, Gocha Kataishvili, Sulkhan Abralava, Ramaz Jorbenadze, Jandri Tirkiya, Gennadi Kelikhashvili, and Dato Gutskaya. All of them were released from the courtroom, with the exception of Eva Shanshieshvili, who was already out on bail.
All eight individuals received a three-year suspended sentence. The prosecution agreed to the plea deals after the defendants pleaded guilty.
A total of 15 defendants were charged in connection with this episode. However, seven individuals—doctor Giorgi Chakhunashvili, Ia Darakhvelidze, Zakro Albutashvili, Davit Zhgenti, Konstantine Kokaia, Kakhaber Mzhavanadze, and Davit Sturua—did not plead guilty. No plea agreements were reached in their regard, and their trial will continue.
The defendants were charged under articles of the Criminal Code of Georgia that cover attempted group seizure and blocking of facilities of strategic and special importance, as well as participation in group violence.
In total, 64 people have been criminally prosecuted in connection with the events of October 4. Currently, plea agreements are being concluded with 22 defendants, with seven individuals already released from the courtroom today.
