Eight who pleaded guilty in October 4 “storming” case released

The detainees who pleaded guilty in the October 4, 2025 “storming” case have left the courtroom. These are the eight defendants:

  • Aleksandre Khabeishvili, Beka Kelekeshashvili, Giorgi Mumladze, Mamuka Labuchidze, Guriel Kardava, Avtandil Surmanidze, Vakhtang Pitskhelauri, and Temur Kurtsikidze.

They are charged under Part 2 of Article 19–222 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which covers the attempted seizure and blocking of facilities of strategic and special importance committed by a group of individuals.

They are also charged under Part 2 of Article 225 of the Criminal Code, which covers participation in group violence.

Charges in the October 4 case were also brought against Abo Naveriani, Anton Uperi (currently wanted), Nana Sanders, and Mariam Mekantsishvili, but they did not plead guilty, so no plea agreement was concluded with them.
