A resident of Zugdidi (Western Georgia) shot his neighbor dead with a shotgun and committed suicide.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reports that the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti police have launched an investigation into the premeditated murder and suicide.
According to the ministry, the murder stemmed from a pre-existing conflict.
The man mortally wounded his fellow villager and fled the scene. The suspect committed suicide shortly after the incident.
The investigation is being conducted under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
