Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has reacted to the agreement reached between the United States and Iran to sign a peace accord.
He expressed hope that this document would serve to achieve a “lasting settlement of the conflict.”
“We welcome the agreement reached on the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
We commend the mediation efforts that contributed to creating the conditions necessary for this understanding to be achieved.
We remain hopeful that this important step will lead to a comprehensive peace agreement and a lasting settlement of the conflict,” the Prime Minister wrote.
