In June, Russian airline Red Wings launched flights to Batumi from six more cities, according to the Russian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland in Georgia.

“Batumi is strengthening its position as one of the favorite summer holiday destinations for Russian tourists,” the statement says.

This month, the airline added direct flights to Batumi from Volgograd, Orenburg, Perm, Saratov, Tyumen, and Chelyabinsk.

It is noted that this season Red Wings will operate flights to Georgia from a total of 15 Russian cities.
