Guliya: Abkhazia Can Attack Georgia with 1,000 UAVs a Day and Win in 10 Days

The leader of the “Aruaa” NGO, Timur Guliya, is threatening to “wipe off the face of the earth” the Richard Lugar Laboratory if Tbilisi attempts to invade the occupied territory. He promised that Sokhumi would attack the rest of Georgia’s territory with drones and that Abkhazia would successfully complete “repelling the attack” from Tbilisi within 10 days.

Guliya emphasized that, in the event of hostilities, the damage to Georgia would be so immense that it would “never in its life” again think of “attacking Abkhazia.” He noted that since drones, which attack strategic targets, play a major role in combat today, Abkhazia is also capable of launching 1,000 UAVs per day against the rest of Georgia.

The “Aruaa” leader called on Tbilisi to recognize the occupied Georgian region as an independent state and to abandon attempts at military pressure. Otherwise, he urged them to “take the risk” to test whether Abkhazia possesses the corresponding military capabilities.

“In this case, it doesn’t matter to us what size you are. We will inflict such colossal damage on Georgia in this case that in the near… indeed, never in their lives… will it cross their minds to attack tiny Abkhazia. Well, for example, what can they [target] here… what positions, what strategic facilities? Well, which ones? None. We will only need to secure the local people, the civilians. …We can send 1,000 (drones – Ed.) a day — we will be done with them within 10 days. …Well, even if they shoot down 60%, they won’t have enough ammunition for that.

Our republic’s geographical position, our… anyway, I don’t want to say everything right now… our mountains, our gorges, our caves — we will use all of this, and we will also wipe the Richard Lugar Laboratory off the face of the earth if Georgia attempts to invade our territory.

Whether we have such capabilities or not — let them take the risk, and we’ll see,” Timur Guliya stated.

The veteran emphasized that today the guarantor of security for Sokhumi is Russia’s presence in the occupied region of Georgia.

As a reminder, since 2008, Sokhumi has been demanding that Tbilisi sign a non-use of force agreement — a legally binding document. This demand is voiced at every meeting within the framework of the Geneva talks. Tbilisi emphasizes that it will only sign this document with Moscow as a party to the conflict.

It is worth noting that on June 10 of this year, Timur Guliya’s name appeared in the database of the Ukrainian website “Myrotvorets” (Peacemaker). The resource published his personal data, as well as a list of accusations, including “encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” support for Russia, war propaganda, and the dissemination of pro-Russian narratives.

The “Myrotvorets” website was created in August 2014 — it is a center for researching crimes against the national security of Ukraine, peace, and the security of citizens. Its database publishes the details of individuals whom the project’s authors consider involved in actions that threaten Ukraine’s interests.

Additionally, the “Aruaa” NGO is one of the two largest organizations of veterans of the 1992–1993 war in Abkhazia. Currently, its leader Timur Guliya is in opposition to the de facto authorities in occupied Abkhazia. The second veteran organization, “Amtsakhara,” supports the de facto authorities.
