The Droa! (“It’s Time!”) party has announced that the health of its leader, Elene Khoshtaria, who is currently in prison, has deteriorated.
It is reported that Elene Khoshtaria’s lawyers, Shota Tutberidze and Ani Kavtaradze, are currently at the penitentiary facility, holding a meeting with the institution’s chief physician.
The lawyers will make a statement after the meeting concludes.
Notably, Elene Khoshtaria’s lawyers had previously reported on her health issues. According to them, she has difficulty moving independently and is forced to use a cane to walk.
As a reminder, the court found Elene Khoshtaria guilty in the case of damaging a campaign banner of Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze. According to the ruling by Judge Giorgi Arevadze, she was sentenced to one year and six months in prison.
