Mikheil Kavelashvili will attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran, the presidential administration confirmed to the InterpressNews agency.
“The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, along with the leaders of regional countries, including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and other states, will attend the funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran,” the presidential administration stated.
According to the Iranian news agency WANA News, under the approved schedule, following farewell ceremonies in Tehran and Qom, the body of the late leader will be transported to four cities in Iraq, after which it will be returned to Iran and buried in Mashhad.
