On July 2, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will arrive in the country on an official visit, the Administration of the President of Georgia reports. The released statement emphasizes that this is the first official visit in history to Georgia by an Uzbek head of state of this level.
The official welcoming ceremony will take place at 18:00 at the presidential palace.
During the visit, a one-on-one meeting is scheduled between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Mikheil Kavelashvili. They will discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation, as well as regional agenda issues.
Following the talks, an official ceremony will take place for signing the Book of Honor, in which the President of Uzbekistan will leave a commemorative message.
