In April, 26 individuals donated a total of 763,000 lari to the Georgian Dream party. This was reported by Transparency International Georgia (TI).
According to TI, 21 of the 26 contributors are long-time donors to Georgian Dream. Since 2020, they have already transferred 2.7 million lari to the party.
The non-governmental organization also stated that companies linked to these donors received:
- state contracts worth 17.7 million lari;
- agricultural subsidies amounting to 1 million lari;
- 749,000 lari under the “Produce in Georgia” program;
- construction permits in Batumi covering an area of 85,000 square meters, including for the erection of two skyscrapers.
