Transparency International Georgia (TI) will represent the interests of protest participant Tamar Peradze before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
According to the organization, the case concerns Peradze’s administrative detention for standing on a sidewalk, as well as the violation of her fundamental rights.
In May, Tamar Peradze, a member of the Droa party, was sentenced to two days of administrative detention. Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs accused her of standing on the sidewalk and obstructing vehicular traffic.
