The leader of the Droa (“It’s Time”) party, Elene Khoshtaria, expressed “full solidarity and support for Aleko Elisashvili and his family.” A letter sent from the clinic and published by the party on social media reads:
“I want to emphasize that today, the severity of sentences and the length of prison terms being handed down primarily speak to the regime’s fear, its cruelty, and its cowardice. Therefore, these sentences are not a deprivation of our freedom, but an indicator of the end of ‘Georgian Dream.’
