President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov Arrives in Georgia

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, has arrived in Georgia on an official visit. At Tbilisi International Airport, the Turkmen leader and his delegation were met by Georgia’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Irakli Chikovani.

The official welcoming ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace, where Serdar Berdimuhamedov was greeted by Mikheil Kavelashvili.

According to the Presidential Administration, a one-on-one meeting between Mikheil Kavelashvili and Serdar Berdimuhamedov is scheduled at the palace. The sides will discuss prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation, as well as issues on the regional agenda.

In addition, according to the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, a personal meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and the President of Turkmenistan is scheduled for tomorrow. Bilateral meetings with ministers are also planned.
