Georgian Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili is participating in a ministerial meeting on “The Resurgence of Political Terrorism” at the invitation of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, according to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the ministry, the event is taking place in Washington, with representatives from around 60 countries participating.
“The ministerial meeting, organized under the new US strategic counter-terrorism program, aims to discuss ways to counter a new wave of political violence and the activities of extremist groups.
“Particular attention is paid to strengthening effective international cooperation and deepening joint efforts in this direction,” the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
