Geostat (the National Statistics Office of Georgia) reports that in January–June 2026, Georgia increased its merchandise exports to $3.876 billion, which is reportedly 20% higher than in the same period last year.
Domestic exports, excluding re-exports, reached $2.392 billion, accounting for 61.7% of the total export volume. Compared to the first half of 2025, this figure increased by 62.6%.
The top ten partner countries accounted for 65.8% of all domestic exports. The main importers of Georgian products were China ($417 million), Russia ($308.4 million), and Turkey ($243.7 million).
Petroleum and petroleum products became the largest export category. During the first six months of the year, their exports amounted to $466.9 million, or 19.5% of total domestic exports.
In second place were precious metal ores and concentrates, with an export volume of $304.3 million (12.7%), followed by ferroalloys in third place, with exports reaching $147.5 million (6.2%).
