Heavy precipitation has caused disruption in Tbilisi. Torrential rain flooded several streets in the capital, disrupting traffic on Agmashenebeli Avenue, in the Gldani district, and near Avlabari.
In addition, the roadway near the Public Service Hall was flooded. Traffic was blocked on Tamarashvili Avenue.
The heavy rain also triggered rockfalls and landslides onto the roadway. Heavy machinery began working at the scene overnight.
The Emergency Management Service reported that no one was injured in the incident. Videos circulated on social media showing local residents helping to push out cars stuck on flooded road sections in various parts of the city.
The Emergency Management Service stated that its personnel are responding to all incoming reports within their area of competence.
No injuries have been reported.
