The Government of Georgia has extended until October 1, 2026, the financial support program for citizens of Ukraine and individuals with permanent residence rights in Ukraine who arrived in Georgia due to the war, reports the Administration of the Government of Georgia.
Under the decision, families will continue to receive 300 lari for housing assistance, along with 45 lari in monthly aid for each recipient. The 45-lari payment will cease starting the month following an individual’s departure from Georgia. In addition, the 300-lari housing allowance will be terminated for a family if all of its members leave the country.
The corresponding decree was signed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. Payments are administered by the Social Service Agency.
The government has also extended until October 1, 2026, the medical care program for Ukrainian citizens who arrived in Georgia between February 1, 2022, and October 1, 2026, and have been continuously residing in the country.
According to the decree signed by Irakli Kobakhidze, Ukrainian citizens will be able to access the following medical services free of charge until the specified date:
- vaccination;
- treatment of tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS, including the provision of specialized medications;
- maternal and child healthcare, including prenatal monitoring and newborn screening;
- mental health services;
- treatment of diabetes mellitus, including the provision of medications;
- dialysis;
- treatment for patients with rare diseases and those requiring continuous replacement therapy;
- emergency medical care under the referral service program, including childbirth delivery and emergency immunization.
