Archil Gorduladze, chairman of the Georgian Parliament’s Legal Affairs Committee and an MP for Georgian Dream, welcomed the creation of a new social movement by MMA fighter Giorgi Kartvelishvili aimed at protecting Georgian values, traditions, and national identity.
In Georgia, Gorduladze stated, everyone is guaranteed the right to freedom of association and to express their stance.
“Everyone has the right to associate and freely express their opinion. At the same time, all activities must be conducted strictly within the law. It is good when people want to protect their country’s culture, faith, citizens’ rights, and history, as well as oppose targeted actions directed against these values. But all of this must take place in compliance with the law and strictly within its framework,” the politician stated.
As a reminder, MMA fighter Giorgi Kartvelishvili, alongside like-minded individuals, announced the creation of a new public movement that will actively defend Georgian values, traditions, and national identity. The athlete added that members of the movement are prepared to take responsibility for their actions and, if necessary, even go to prison.
