Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that 10 people detained on the night of July 26 during a protest outside the Tbilisi City Assembly (Sakrebulo) “were holding offensive banners.”
“Patrol police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 10 individuals near the Tbilisi Sakrebulo who were holding offensive banners in a public place. In addition, they uttered offensive remarks, disturbed public order, and resisted law enforcement officers.
Police officers detained them under Articles 166 and 173 of the Code of Administrative Offences,” the statement said.
