Kaladze: Do Not Believe Disinformation About Rustaveli Repairs, Completion Set for Late November

Attempts are being made to mislead the public regarding the rehabilitation work on Rustaveli Avenue and provide false information, — my appeal to Tbilisi residents: do not believe these people! — rehabilitation work is scheduled for completion at the end of November, Mayor of the capital Kakha Kaladze stated at a meeting of the Tbilisi City Government.

According to him, circulating reports claiming that the rehabilitation work was supposed to be completed in October are incorrect.

“I want to provide the public with information regarding the rehabilitation work on Rustaveli Avenue. We started work on July 23 and immediately informed the public that full rehabilitation would take four months. However, certain media outlets are trying to mislead the public and provide false information. Deliberate attempts are being made on social media to spread false and inaccurate information about the project. My plea to Tbilisi residents: do not believe these people! Unfortunately, there are many scammers… Always try to obtain reliable information; the municipality will distribute updates on the work process, its current stage, and so on.

Despite the fact that I told the public that the work would take four months, one television company claimed that we had allegedly shifted the deadline and were supposed to complete the work in October. They allegedly raised doubts that the work would be carried out improperly and that we would perform it poorly.

The work is scheduled for completion at the end of November, including underground utilities, road infrastructure, and so on,” Kaladze noted.
