In the case of Nika Melia, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change („კოალიცია ცვლილებისთვის“), who is accused of contempt of court, the verdict may be delivered tomorrow, August 6.
The hearing is scheduled at the Tbilisi City Court for 1:00 p.m.
This time, Melia is charged with contempt of court, specifically for verbally insulting Tornike Kochkiani, a judge of the Administrative Cases Panel.
Melia has been charged under Article 366, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (contempt of court expressed in insulting a judge), which carries a penalty of up to two years’ imprisonment.
