A minor has drowned in the Tbilisi Reservoir, better known as the Tbilisi Sea. The incident occurred on August 8.
As Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs told the news outlet Tabula, an investigation has been opened under Article 115 of the Criminal Code, which covers incitement to suicide.
The report was first published by Marneuli News. According to the outlet, the 17-year-old was a resident of the village of Kapanakhchi in Marneuli Municipality. Citing fellow villagers, media reports state that the teenager had gone to the Tbilisi Sea with friends to swim.
