At least four Belarusian citizens have been killed in a road accident in the Guria region of western Georgia. The incident occurred on the road leading to Mount Gomismta.
According to media reports, a minibus carrying foreign tourists plunged into a ravine. Preliminary information indicates that the driver lost control of the vehicle. He is also reported to be in serious condition.
A rescue operation remains underway at the scene. Around 20 people in total were injured and have been hospitalized in medical facilities in Ozurgeti and Chokhatauri.
An investigation into the accident has been opened under Article 276, which covers traffic safety violations resulting in death.
