A passenger train travelling on the Tbilisi–Batumi route has struck a woman. The incident occurred near the entrance to the Batumi Botanical Garden (Green Cape). According to media reports, the middle-aged woman died at the scene.
The news outlet Batumelebi reports that the train was halted following the incident, and passengers were not permitted to leave the carriages.
Emergency services are working at the scene.
