Koba Partenadze, a journalist with Adjara TV and Radio, has been detained by the police. Lawyer Temur Kavshbaia stated this on his social media. According to him, Partenadze was transferred to a temporary detention facility in the town of Zestafoni.
«Adjara TV journalist Koba Partenadze has been detained. His detention took place at the 2nd Police Department of the Batumi City Division. Temur Kavshbaia Law Bureau will defend Koba’s interests. We are currently establishing the grounds and motives under which he was placed under administrative detention,» the lawyer wrote.
Earlier, a criminal case was opened in Batumi over threats and insults directed at Partenadze himself. Later, on August 16, the journalist reported that he had been attacked once again.
