According to the National Bank of Georgia, $39.0 million (102.8 million GEL) was transferred abroad from Georgia in July 2026. This figure is 4.7% higher than the data recorded for July 2025 ($37.3 million).
Notably, in this year’s transfer structure, Azerbaijan overtook Turkey to become the top destination. Specifically, while the largest volume of funds from the country was sent to Turkey in July 2025, Azerbaijan took first place this year. The top ten also included Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and other countries.
Top 10 recipient countries for outbound money transfers in July 2026:

- Turkey — $6.435 million
- Russia — $3.663 million
- Ukraine — $2.436 million
- Uzbekistan — $2.430 million
- Greece — $2.247 million
- Kazakhstan — $1.916 million
- Italy — $1.395 million
- Germany — $1.168 million
- Armenia — $1.029 million
As for incoming remittances, according to the report for July 2026, the volume of money transfers received in Georgia reached $350.05 million (922.2 million GEL). Updated figures from the National Bank of Georgia show this amount is 3.9% (or $13.1 million) higher than the corresponding figure for July 2025.
According to the same statistics, 97.6% of all incoming foreign remittances to Georgia originated from the top 29 partner countries, with each accounting for more than $1 million in July. For comparison, in July of last year, these 29 countries accounted for 97.2% of the total remittance inflow.
