Only two parties have registered to take part in the by-elections for the Sakrebulo (municipal representative councils).
At today’s session, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Georgia assigned their ballot numbers:
- No. 9 — Strong Georgia – Lelo
- No. 41 — Georgian Dream
The deadline for participating parties to nominate majoritarian candidates is September 3.
As a reminder, the Sakrebulo by-elections will be held on October 3 in the municipalities of Vani, Tsalka, Dmanisi, and Akhmeta.
A total of seven polling stations will open for the by-elections, four of which will use electronic voter verification and vote-counting devices. Voters will elect four majoritarian Sakrebulo members across the designated municipalities.
