A Weimar Triangle working meeting began on Thursday in Weimar, Germany. It is being attended by the foreign ministers of Germany, Poland, and France—Johann Wadephul, Radosław Sikorski, and Jean-Noël Barrot.
As reported by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the top diplomats of the three nations are reviewing the outcomes achieved through their cooperation and discussing current challenges facing Europe. The agenda includes:
- trilateral cooperation
- support for Ukraine
- Russia’s increasingly aggressive actions
- the situation in the Middle East and in Georgia
- global economic challenges
- transatlantic relations
The Weimar Triangle is an international cooperation format bringing together Poland, Germany, and France. It was established 35 years ago, on August 28–29, 1991, in Weimar, Thuringia.
