5,250,000 GEL Allocated from Georgia’s State Budget to Patriarchate’s Educational Institutions

According to an August 31 decree by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, 5,250,000 GEL (approximately $2 million) has been allocated from the state budget to educational institutions under the Patriarchate.

The funding applies to schools, gymnasiums, universities, and the Foundation for the Development of Education and Cultural Events operating under the Patriarchate of the Georgian Orthodox Church.

According to the prime minister’s order, a total of 42 institutions received funding.
