The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has announced a tender for the rehabilitation of the Tbilisi Concert Hall (Philharmonic) for the third time.
The estimated procurement cost stands at 6.5 million GEL (approximately $2.5 million), which is 2 million GEL higher than the figure in the previous tender. The estimated value of the prior bidding process was 4.5 million GEL—that procedure was terminated due to the disqualification of bidders.
The scope of design work requires preparing a rehabilitation project plan, cost estimate documentation, a building maintenance and operation manual, and providing architectural and engineering supervision.
According to the project outline, plans include modernizing stage infrastructure, improving acoustics, replacing utility networks, upgrading elevators, and installing security and safety systems.
Furthermore, the building must be made fully accessible to persons with disabilities.
