A teenager was killed in Tbilisi as a result of an altercation. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, another minor has been detained on charges of premeditated murder.
“The investigation established that on September 10 of this year in Tbilisi, following a verbal dispute, the suspect inflicted several wounds on the minor with an edged weapon and fled the scene. The teenager died on the spot from the injuries sustained.
As a result of operational-search measures and investigative actions, law enforcement officers detained the suspect in hot pursuit,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.
An investigation is underway under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (premeditated murder), which carries a sentence of up to 15 years’ imprisonment.
