Luka Ekhvaia has been appointed Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, the head of state’s press service announced.
At various times, Ekhvaia has served as an adviser and assistant to the president on foreign policy affairs.
“Luka Ekhvaia is a researcher and specialist in international relations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the Caucasus School of Governance at Caucasus University, and a master’s degree from the School of Political Sciences at the University of Bologna.
He was also a doctoral student in Global and Regional Studies within the humanities and social sciences doctoral program at Leipzig University, and later a PhD candidate in political science at Caucasus International University,” the statement said.
