A Georgian delegation led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has departed for New York to participate in the 81st session of the UN General Assembly. The delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
As the Foreign Minister told journalists, bilateral meetings with counterparts are scheduled for today as part of the General Assembly. “We will have an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to Georgia and the region at the highest level,” Bochorishvili stated.
According to the minister, Irakli Kobakhidze will attend an event organized by the European Union today dedicated to multilateral cooperation (multilateralism). The head of the Georgian government will take part in the panel discussion, the Foreign Minister added.
