As part of her visit to Canada, Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Bochorishvili met with the head of the Canadian foreign ministry Anita Anand. According to the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed key areas of bilateral relations between Tbilisi and Ottawa, as well as cooperation in multilateral formats.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of political dialogue between the two nations and plans for further cooperation.
“Special emphasis was placed on Black Sea security issues and the current situation in the region.
During the meeting, the interlocutors also discussed prospects for strengthening trade and economic ties, taking into account Georgia’s role within the Middle Corridor and Canada’s trade diversification policy.
The Minister thanked the Canadian side for its unwavering support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia,” the ministry statement said.
