In Turkey’s Artvin province, rocks sliding down a slope crashed into a truck parking lot in the Hopa district, leaving one person dead, Turkish media reported.
One driver was killed in the incident. According to available reports, 45-year-old Kasım Topaloğlu, who managed to move his vehicle to safety during the initial rockfall and then attempted to assist his colleagues, was caught in a secondary slide when a rock struck him in the head. He died at the scene.
