Swiss Foreign Minister and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ignazio Cassis is on a visit to Tbilisi. He was welcomed at the airport by Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Lasha Darsalia.
The program for the October 16 visit includes talks with Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili, following which the sides will deliver a joint press statement.
According to information released by the Swiss government, Ignazio Cassis had previously visited Armenia. The diplomat arrived in Georgia directly from Yerevan.
As the statement notes, these two trips constitute the second part of Ignazio Cassis’s regional tour; the first leg took place on August 3–5, covering Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
