Georgian authorities have presented data on child abuse cases for 2025: the Agency for State Care and Assistance for the Victims of Human Trafficking recorded 1,560 cases of violence against minors last year.
According to the agency’s statistics, as of 2025, the classification of types of violence is as follows:
- physical abuse — 329 children;
- psychological abuse — 594 children;
- sexual abuse — 170 children;
- neglect — 381 children;
- coercion — 18 children;
- economic abuse — 3 children;
- labor exploitation/human trafficking — 3 children;
- sexual exploitation/human trafficking — 6 children;
- other — 56 children.
