Georgia ranks second in the number of citizens deported from EU countries. According to migration law enforcement data published by Eurostat, in 2025, 491,950 orders to leave EU countries were issued to third-country nationals, representing a 5.8% increase compared to 2024.
The number of third-country nationals deported from the European Union rose by 21%. Among them, the highest numbers were citizens of Turkey (13,405), Georgia (10,475), Syria (8,370), and Albania (8,020).
Germany deported the highest number of citizens, followed by France and Sweden. Additionally, in 2025, 132,600 non-EU nationals were refused entry into the Schengen Area, indicating a 7.1% increase compared to 2024.
The highest number of entry refusals was recorded for citizens of Ukraine (26,975). They were followed by citizens of Albania (12,430), Moldova (11,660), Colombia (6,565), Turkey (5,635), and Serbia (5,440). Georgia ranks seventh, with 4,785 of its citizens being refused entry into the EU.
According to the statistics, the number of individuals staying illegally in EU countries decreased by 21.7%.
