Tbilisi City Court Sentences Activist Zurab Menteshashvili to 9 Months in Prison

The Tbilisi City Court has passed judgment on Zurab Menteshashvili, who was arrested for repeatedly blocking a road. Judge Nino Galustashvili found him guilty and sentenced him to nine months in prison.

Menteshashvili has already spent seven months in custody, meaning he will be released in two months.

The man was detained on November 1, 2025. He was charged under Part 1 of Article 347 of the Criminal Code, which carries a penalty of up to one year in prison.
