Expert: I did not represent Georgia at the “3+3” meeting in St. Petersburg

Expert Nikoloz Metreveli took part in the “3+3” format expert meeting in St. Petersburg. He stated that he did not represent Georgia there, but rather himself as an analyst.

Metreveli explained that he was contacted by the organizers of SPIEF (St. Petersburg International Economic Forum) and invited to participate.

According to him, Saudi Arabia acted as the official host of the event.

“I represented solely myself, and everything I said was my personal view,” Nikoloz Metreveli stated.

As a reminder, the first expert meeting in the “3+3” format took place in St. Petersburg on June 5. This format is a platform involving the participation of Russia, Turkey, and Iran on one side, and Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia on the other.

On June 4, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia declared that the country would not participate in the “3+3” format meetings, just as in previous years.
