On the night of September 2, an explosion followed by a fire occurred at an ammunition depot in Azerbaijan. The depot is located near the village of Nizami in the Goranboy District.
According to a joint statement by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the relevant agencies immediately launched the necessary operations following the incident.
“The situation has been brought under control. As a safety precaution, residents of nearby areas were evacuated. There are no casualties,” the statement said.
