According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), the number of live births in Georgia between January and June 2026 stood at 17,509, while 22,224 deaths were registered over the same period.
In the first six months of 2026, the number of deaths exceeded live births by 4,715. A positive rate of natural population growth was recorded only in Tbilisi and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.
Geostat also released data on marriages and divorces: 10,006 marriages and 6,095 divorces were registered across Georgia in the first half of 2026.
