The international non-governmental organization Freedom House has awarded Salome Zourabichvili the Mark Palmer Award.
This award is presented to diplomats and high-ranking government officials for outstanding achievements in defending democracy and promoting its development.
“This year, Freedom House is proud to honor the fifth president of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili, for her principled leadership and commitment to Georgia’s democratic and European future,” Freedom House said in a statement.
