Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that Georgia is resilient to external forces and challenges—both the EU and regional challenges. This is especially true against the backdrop of Russia’s occupation of 20% of Georgian territory.
“We are very resilient—it is difficult to find a more resilient state for a small country like ours. For example, we are resilient to the European Union, as well as to regional challenges.
Twenty percent of our territory is occupied, and this is also a challenge. Despite this, our country is resilient to all challenges.
This is especially valuable given that we have a population of 4 million, a small territory, and an economy of 38 billion dollars. Under such conditions, our resilience to external forces is highly worthy of respect.
For 14 years now, we have been working to counter the harmful influence of external forces in Georgia, and finally, after all these years, we have fully strengthened the country’s independence and sovereignty—precisely because of this struggle,” Kobakhidze stated.
